This month, we are proud to welcome our new Social Media Director, Leah Kingsbury! With this new role, ASC will continue to stay at the forefront of digital media trends while activating all channels for positioning of our clients as thought leaders in their respective industries.
With over 10 years experience in social media management, marketing, copywriting, and content creation, Leah is passionate about implementing data-driven social media strategies to optimize brand awareness and success on each social media platform. Leah has worked with a wide range of clientele including top food & beverage companies, world renowned restaurants, nationwide fitness brands, and award-winning healthcare establishments. Leah strives to go deeper than standard social media practices by organizing tagging systems, in-depth reporting, establishing rules of engagement, and optimizing influencer partnerships.

Do you go by any other names than Leah? Nicknames?
No nicknames! Just, Leah.
What’s your favorite social media platform?
As a social media lover, it’s hard to choose just one platform! I love them all for their own reasons, but I’ll go with Instagram and TikTok.
Where did you graduate from College?
Western Kentucky University! Go Tops!
What was your first job?
I was a Barre instructor throughout college. I taught 10-15 classes a week, managed their social media accounts, and wrote fitness related articles for Southern Kentucky Magazine during my time there.
What is your favorite media source?

Do you prefer podcasts, audiobooks or music?
I’m a music lover. I curate Spotify playlists for each quarter of each year. My playlists are my music journal, and it’s so cool to look back on them!
Where is your favorite place to be or vacation spot?
I’m a sucker for desert landscapes. Anywhere that makes me feel like I’m on Mars is a great spot for me.
What is your favorite line from a movie?
“I ran. I ran until my muscles burned and my veins pumped battery acid. Then I ran some more.”
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
Jay Shetty. His books and podcasts have been tremendously helpful during my self exploration era. I anxiously await the day that I’m able to see him on tour, or meet him!
How did you hear about Anna Stallmann Communications?
I learned about ASC on LinkedIn when I was laid off from my fintech marketing job. After the first conversation, I knew it would be a great match and opportunity!
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I’d love to learn calligraphy.
Do you have any pets?
Yes! I adopted Ralphie, my mastiff/american bulldog mix, in December 2022. He had a very rough start to life, but now he proudly wears a thunder jacket, red bandana, and happily frequents local breweries with me.
You have 30-minutes of free-time, what do you do?
Listen to music, read, and write. Anything that involves words.
What is something new you learned in the last week?
I’ve been learning more about Enneagrams. It’s pretty cool!
How do you balance career and family?
As a single parent, my daughter is my main priority. Working remotely has allowed me the beautiful balance of being present for her and being readily available for my career.

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
Coffee ice cream has had my heart since I was a little girl.
What motivates you in life?
I’m motivated by my desire to experience as much as I can throughout my lifetime. Mainly to have firsthand knowledge for whatever my daughter may experience, and of course, – for the stories.
Favorite way to write – paper, laptop, talk to text?
I love to write on paper, but my handwriting isn’t cute. Laptop makes the most sense for me if someone else has to read it!
Tell us something that might surprise us about you?
I’m an ex-ballet dancer classically trained at The Harid Conservatory (Class of 2009), School of American Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and North Carolina School of the Arts.
