Communications Intern

3-month part-time internship (remote)

Opportunity and Overview
Anna Stallmann Communications (ASC) is seeking a college-level student for a part-time, summer internship over a 3-month period, with the opportunity to continue beyond this initial period. The intern will support a variety of communication projects, including public relations, social media, graphic design, and digital marketing. Tasks may include assisting with content creation, media outreach, digital design, website updates, and project coordination. Hours are anticipated at 10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule option.

Our clients span numerous industries in both B2B and B2C sectors, including healthcare, technology, real estate, nonprofits, and financial services. The company is based in Charlotte, NC, with clients across North America.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in content creation for social media, press releases, and marketing materials
• Develop branded graphics and optimize images for social media, websites, and digital campaigns
• Support public relations initiatives, including media outreach and list building
• Assist with website content updates, SEO implementation, and digital strategy
• Help manage digital assets, marketing initiatives, and project coordination
• Research industry trends and provide insights to enhance communication strategies
• Participate in team meetings as available and contribute creative ideas for client projects

Requirements & Skills

• Rising college junior or senior attending a US-based college preferred; rising sophomores may also apply
• Majors in communications, public relations, marketing, graphic design, or related fields preferred
• Experience with Canva or other design platforms for design projects
• Strong writing and editing skills for web, social media, and press materials
• Familiarity with all social media platforms, web design, content management, and digital marketing concepts
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn and grow
• Ability and commitment to working within Asana, our project management software tool
• Willingness to work up to 10 hours per week
• While this position is fully remote, an intern must live in one of the following states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Virginia, Minnesota or Oklahoma.

Compensation
$15/hour and/or course credit if available through institution
