What is GivingTuesday?
GivingTuesday is a global movement in its 10th year (wow!) and a day dedicated to reimagining a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. When launched in 2012, GivingTuesday had one goal: to make giving more central in daily life, with commitment to a core set of values, an open, distributed leadership model, and a belief in transformational partnerships set them on a course to build the first global generosity movement and the first global day of celebration open to anyone and everyone.
Today, GivingTuesday is a global community of millions of givers across 70 countries, who share one thing, a belief that together we can innovate and inspire collective generosity, so that the “better world” we all wish for can become a reality. This year, GivingTuesday falls on November 29, but every year it falls on the last Tuesday in November.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation, recommended by Anna Stallmann
A Library is truly a great equalizer and serves as a connecting place where the community can come together with the same goal: explore, learn and grow. Now more than ever, libraries need our support so they can continue to evolve and be that resource to the community. From story-time and a child’s first exposure to a book through career research and job support, a library helps open doors and chase dreams for every individual that holds a library card.

Bullies 2 The Rescue, recommended by Mae Young
Bullies 2 The Rescue, or B2TR, is an animal rescue specializing in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming bulldog breeds. Many bulldogs are abandoned or surrendered due to expensive health complications that require specialized treatments or surgeries that many people can not afford. Unhealthy bulldogs are a result of negligent and cruel breeding practices in the interest of making money with no regard to the breed or quality of life. Most bulldog owners who end up in a situation where they have to surrender their dog were uneducated about the breed prior to making their purchase, did not do their research on the breeder, or they were lied to by the breeder. B2TR is made up of a network of volunteers, fosters, and donors who help transport, fund, care for, and re-home the innocent bulldogs who are paying the ultimate price for breeder greed.
