Launching a SOLD-OUT Event Brand

the situation

When Molly Grantham, former Charlotte, NC journalist and news anchor for WBTV, asked Anna Stallmann Communications (ASC) for help on creating a brand identity for her inaugural Bet On Yourself Summit™, our design team was excited to lean in and help!

The ask? Grantham was looking for a brand system with a color palette to match her coastal interests and dreams of creating a BOLD identity to illustrate a BOLD event.

The client had a name for her event “Bet on Yourself” but didn’t have a consistent logo imprint or brand guide. With just a few short months before the event and print shop deadlines rapidly approaching, Grantham needed a branding system quickly to get production lines moving for t-shirts, swag and event signage.

Not only did this brand system need to represent the upcoming event, but it also needed to be nimble enough to grow and expand! Our design team was tasked to incorporate the existing Molly Grantham and Bet on Yourself entities as primary and secondary logos, and the Bet on Yourself Summit™ as a separate brand entity that could function as one cohesive brand system.

Typography:
“Molly Grantham” as an existing brand entity was already using the font Baskerville. Our design team sought out a modern, bold but slightly edgy font to give this brand system personality.

Color Palette:
It was important to Grantham incorporate coastal colors and our design team delivered a bold, high-contrast coastal color palette that’s flexible for a variety of marketing elements.

Logo System:
“BET on yourself.” is a statement. One that should live on its own so incorporating the period into the logo was important for the primary, secondary and summit logos. The icon serves as a brandmark that can live on its own from website favicons to stickers and t-shirts.

This inaugural event in 2024 included 340 attendees and was completely SOLD OUT!

Items the brand appeared on include venue entry and directional signage, table stands, champaign glasses, stickers, t-shirts, notebooks for purchase and other various swag.

A brand system that can live long and expand beyond a single event into additional entities as Molly Grantham dreams big and expands her brand family in the future.
