We’re excited to recognize continued growth at ASC with the onboarding of new Digital Account Executive, Yesenia Gonzalez. Yesenia joined the team in September 2023 and holds a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communication from the University of Central Oklahoma. Prior to joining ASC, she worked at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she worked as a Graduate Admissions & Engagement Specialist.
We are thrilled for the experience, perspective and skills that Yesenia will bring to the growing digital and creative capabilities of our team.

Do you go by any other names than Yesenia? Nicknames?
Nope, just Yesenia.
What’s your favorite social media platform?
This is a tie between Pinterest and YouTube. I love both platforms for different reasons, but if I had to choose one, I’d go with Pinterest.
Where did you graduate from College?
I attended the University of Central Oklahoma for my bachelor’s degree. Roll Chos!
What was your first job?
My first job was as a server at a restaurant the summer before my senior year of high school.
What is your favorite media source?
NPR is my favorite media source.
Do you prefer podcasts, audiobooks or music?
I love listening to podcasts the most, especially during long drives.
Where is your favorite place to be or vacation spot?
My favorite place to be is watching the sunrise on a crisp autumn morning while taking a walk enjoying nature.
What is your favorite line from a movie?
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.

How did you hear about Anna Stallmann Communications?
I worked alongside Katie and Beth at the University of Central Oklahoma as a student worker in a marketing and media assistant position before I worked in graduate admissions full time. In a serendipitous turn of events, Katie reached out regarding a new position opening at ASC. I met with Anna shortly after, and the rest is history.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I wish I could play instruments, particularly the drums and piano.
Do you have any pets?
I have a 15 year old chiweenie named Tiffany, and my family pet is a 2 year old tabby cat named Iris.
You have 30-minutes of free-time, what do you do?
Catching up with my favorite content creators on YouTube. Lately, I have especially enjoyed short form food content.
What is something new you learned in the last week?
Broccoli cheddar bites also come in dino nugget shapes. Yes, my inner child is very happy about that.
How do you balance career and family?
I mentally clock out for the day when I finish my final work task so that I can be fully present with my loved ones when I’m outside of work hours. I also do my best to set realistic expectations for myself for daily work.
Who is your favorite news anchor (past or present)?
Ilia Calderon is a trailblazer for Latinas in journalism. I grew up watching her on the news.
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
Anything with dark chocolate and almonds. Bonus points for caramel with a sprinkle of sea salt mixed into that combination.
What motivates you in life?
My main motivation is to feel inner peace and joy wherever I find myself in life. To accomplish this, I seek clarity and alignment in the things I do, so my actions need to align with my values.
Favorite way to write – paper, laptop, talk to text?
Paper for sure. The feeling of writing with a new gel ink pen on a fresh notepad is the best!
Tell us something that might surprise us about you?
I love to sing, although I reserve that hobby for solo car rides. I participated in community musical theater in high school, and I would love to take part in a production again someday.
